What is this hard Grey lump?

My favorite chicken has this lump on her back. It is hard and she is still acting normal. I have no idea what it is and would love some help.

First I would put her in a sanitary tub or sink and soak her for a good 20 minutes or so, then try to peel what you can off.

Them photograph what you have left and repost your findings.

It could be an abscess from a wound or possibly there’s a tumor under it.

My chicken has the same thing. I decided to see if I could remove it. This is what I got. What is it??
