What is this on the comb.?

    This started happening on two of my roosters. I have no idea what it is.

    Should I be concerned? What causes this? How can this be fixed?

    It could easily be fighting. When they bite one another the wound will turn black from the blood coming to the surface.

    I guess it could be but they were raised together and don't see them really fight besides some posturing.

    I will keep an eye out. Just making sure it is not some sickness I need to address.

    Looks like peck marks to me, the only sickness that I know of that has blackish white marks is fowl pox which there is no cure. They're just treated with electrolytes/vitamins while it runs it's course.

    They received the fowl pox vaccine two months ago. I am leaning toward these guys fighting.
