What is this on the yolk?

    What is this on my duck egg? I don't think they are fertile either despite the drake mating with her every day.

    It's not the spot where you can check the bullseye that's in the middle of the yolk, you can see that in the picture

    Part of the chalazae probably, which is the tissue that suspends the yolk in the shell. When you crack the egg, the chalazae can end up in various configurations.
