What is this part of my chicken called, and is it normal?

    He's an americana rooster, I'm guessing this is his ear lobe? But it's a shimmery blue/purple color in the sunlight. I tried doing good researches on this and couldn't find anything. It's like that on both sides and looks much more vibrant in person.

    That's the ear lobe. Ear lobes come in a range of colours, depending on the breed.
