    Sorry for the bad pic. He has feathers on his legs but not on his feet. I'm guessing black copper maran?

    He like he has some copper maran in him,but most definitely isn't pure Maran.

    He looks like he could be a purebred marans to me. What makes you think he's not? I don't have a ton of experience with the breed, so I'm curious.

    Oh, marans have feathered legs when bred to the french standard, that's not unusual to see.
