What is THIS?

So I noticed my chicken being lethargic today. She just stands around the yard. Doesn’t move when approached. Not her crop. Pretty sure she laid today based off amount of her color. I cleaned her butt off in case the little bit of poop there was the problem. Then I noticed her preening with the wet bum and on top of her back right before her tail feathers start I saw THIS! What is it?! It’s tissue like. Cartilage almost. I gave her 1ml of NutraDense. 10 min later she had this poo.

Well at least one thing is going right for her! Any ideas as far as the lethargy? Does the poo look concerning?

Is she starting a molt? Can you give her some Poultry NutriDrench or electrolytes, sugar water, or gatorade? Try offering some scrambled egg and try some water added to her feed.

She shouldn’t be. She had a soft molt beginning of fall. I gave her 1ml direct of nutridrench. She went up for the night on her own. I’m about to go out and see if she’s roosting or laying down.

Not sure what was going on. She’s been dust bathing, pecking, scratching, and laid an egg. One less thing to worry about!
