What is wrong with my chick?

Odd... I’ve run into a feathering out issue that resulted in bald patches, and an 11 week old broiler with mostly just pinfeathers, but there wasn’t any issue with a fluid build up. I’m wondering if it could be some sort of inflammation? Like a buildup of fluid in the joint? I have an old break in my wrist that acts up with the weather, or how you can see swelling with arthritis in people? I know there are places on chickens that don’t grow any feathers, the feathers grow over them to cover, but I don’t think that spot is one of them. Just throwing out random thoughts, as I’m far from an expert, but very interested to follow along and learn more from more experienced poultry keepers!

I let one of my hens have a go at hatching eggs for the first time, and she managed one (she’s such a good mum!). For the most part I’ve been leaving her to do the work, but we have had a couple of problems.

The chick was born lame/limping badly. From what I can find out this was possibly to do with a nutrient deficiency in the egg (eggs did not come from my chickens). Since she’s been on chick crumb and the odd bit of greenery the leg has improved and she’s walking much better now.

She is now 4 weeks old and for the last week or so has had a rather large bald lump on her right shoulder, and there is a slightly smaller one on the left shoulder.

There is definitely fluid on the left shoulder, but the right shoulder feels pretty solid. I’ve just been to take a look, but as her crop was full it was hard to tell exactly what was going on. I’ve attached pictures. If anyone has any ideas of what to do it would be much appreciated!

Thanks
@Eggcessive

It looks like the full crop on the right side. Sometimes they seem to look like they are up on the right shoulder, but they are in the right upper chest. Here are some examples:

Yeah, but....
That’s what I thought at first, but there is definitely fluid on the left side. And it’s still very swollen in the mornings even when her crop is empty..
