What is wrong with my rooster, bones sticking out of comb (picture)

    I have no idea what is going on here. Take a look at my rooster's comb. See the little raw boney points? What is this?

    Deffinitally not bones, they don't have bones in their combs. My guess is that they became frost bitten, as he has a pretty large comb. Is it cold where you are?

    No. It's 60 degrees. Could he have rubbed them off in the run under the coop? He's a pretty tall boy.
