Broad spectrum antibiotics treat 2 or more types of diseases/infections, instead of targeting just one type as some antibiotics do.

How old are your chickens and what are their symptoms? How long has it been going on etc...?

Dont give your birds antibiotics "just because." Do not add new chickens to an existing flock, quarantine the new birds for at least 6 weeks away from your old flock. This will give you time to observe the newbies for any signs of diseases and parasites. Think biosecurity.
