What killed my bird

I just lost a buff Orpington approximately 14 weeks old all that was left was her vent and feathers everywhere. Almost like something grabbed her from her tail/backend. I've lost birds to coyotes and the occasional raccoon but I have never had anything like this left behind. Any ideas what it might be?

Sounds like a fox - trail of feathers and no body, possibly a raccoon. Sorry for your loss,

Thank you for the reply! I'll see if I can find any signs of one around the area. I've never seen a fox out here but that definitely doesn't mean there isn't one out here.
