when i bought her i was told she was a gold-laced wyandotte. she's my prettiest hen so i never pushed the subject. but she is clearly not even a wyanndotte at all. i know this mainly because she has a single comb. so can anyone tell me what breed she is or if she is a mix? she is young so the single comb is not obvious in this picture but this is a picture of her at the age she is now. she will be a year old sometime next spring. i bought her at a Flea Market at the half feathered pullet stage. her color was obvious but her head was still fuzzy. she is fully feathered now and very big. but not full grown.

Do you have a shot that shows her comb type?

no. she has a very small comb. i'm pretty it's just a single comb. the points are even all the way down. it is not a rose comb. i have some rose comb chicks, they are banties but the comb is clear.

Could it be a pea comb? She might be a clean-faced Easter Egger.

i'm not sure. i'll have to look at that again. she also has a pretty long neck compared to my other chickens and longer legs, but not shamo long. i reckon if she is an easter egger then i'll know when she lays. she looks like she's gonna be big. i got her at a flea market and added her to the 15 other chicks i had. the woman i bought he from did not have any others like her. the other wyandottes were clearly the right breed. any chance she's a black sex-link? that's the only bird i've found that looked even close.
