Quote:How can you tell? Isn't it something about the top of the bill going higher up the head (the future knob of africans)?

I had Toulouse goslings and that's pretty much what BOTH look like, but experienced people can tell the difference somehow.

Adorable babies [IMG] You have been owned [IMG]

They are africans; their beaks are slightly blacker than toulouse goslings' bills will be, and their posture is straighter, their bodies are held higher. They are also larger.

Quote:Thats it, I look at posture. Toulouse seem to hold their bodies more horizontal and lower where Africans are more vertical and higher. Here are links to Metzer Farms, they have the perfect example of the posture difference

Their beaks do come up higher than Toulouse as well, and are more rounded at the top, where Toulouse are more squared off..

now that you point out the differences I can see what you are talking about... but they are cute no matter what.
