I need help identifying these bantams I just got.
1 golden laced wyandotte
4 partridge cochin
I am not an expert so I hope others help out here these are just guesses
1. Dark Cornish
2. Mottled Rosecomb
4. Partridge Cochin
Not certain on those, but if I had to guess....
Or I guess #2 could be a bantam Silver Spangled Hamburg
Congratulations! You have some healthy looking birds.
1. Dark Cornish hen
2. Definately a Silver Sebright rooster
3. Definately an OE Black Rosecomb rooster
4. Partridge Cochin hen
Quote:OE Black Rosecomb????? Old English [bantam] is one breed, Rosecomb is another. This bird has a single comb. Rosecombs usually will have a rose comb. Oh & BTWm #2 is DEFINATELY a Silver Spangled Hamburg.
1. Dark Cornish Hen
2. Silver Spangled Hamburg Roo- NOT a sebright or rosecomb
3. Looks like a Black Old English game Roo, but this one I am not 100% sure on
4. Partridge Cochin Hen
Quote:Agreed All look to be hatchery quality but I agree that that is what they are.
For those who said #2 was a Sebright, look closely, he is spangled, not laced, and he has rooster feathers, Sebright roosters are hen feathered.
And I also agree that #3 is a lower grade hatchery quality black OE game bantam. I have a friend that had some hatchery black OEGBs that were so far from the standards that i wouldnt have recognized them as that if she hadnt told me that was what they were.
#1 Dark Cornish
#2 Silver Spangled Hamburg
#3 Black Old english game bantam
#4 partridge bantam cochin
Did you come take pictures of my birds while I was gone???
