what kind of chick and hen are these?

    i been wondering what kind of chick is this and im not sure if you can tell if its a boy or girl yet.

    more pics are always great, but the first one could very possibly be a rhode island red cockerel judging by its comb and color, and the second one may be a mixed breed, buff and with verrrry nice tail feathers! borderline phoenix tail feathers! a pic with her head in it will help a LOT!![​IMG]

    The little one is most definitely a roo. Too much comb and redness for a bird that young. The hen, I am going to guess some type of game bird mix. She is really pretty. Is that her chick? He looks like he is going to be a partridge color. I bet he will be a beautiful roo!

    the chick i caught myself in the wild. quite a bit of running was involved. then hen is laying now. has about 14 eggs. im excited to see what her chicks will look like [​IMG]

    What color eggs does she lay? White? Off white? Brown? That can help identify her, too. [​IMG]
