what kind of chicken is this?

    It's really big and it finally just started laying I would estimate this hen to be 9-11lbs. The weird thing is it lays tiny eggs with a pink tint.

    That right there is what we call a brahma (standard white). She looks beautiful, congrats on your eggs. I'm waiting for mine to start up again..

    She's a beautiful brahma! To ally, in my limited experience, the first "pullet" eggs are smaller....they will continually get larger as her body adjusts to laying.

    Yep, a light Brahma hen. They do lay tinted eggs sometimes, and they're not known for being stellar layers like production breeds, but they're sweet and docile usually and very pretty to look at!

    Thank you for your fast response, she is laying quite well 5 days a week, and it has been quite cold where I live.
