What kind of chickens do I have?

I have 4 chickens that are 6 months old and are now laying eggs. I thought my 2 gold chickens were buff orpingtons ... until they layed white eggs!! Now I think they are buff minorcas. What kind of chicken is the white and gray color? They both lay brown eggs.

Second last girl is most likely a Blue Splash Marans, and responsible for half of your brown eggs. Blue pullet could be an Andalusian, a white egg-producing breed.

The buffs have white ears and white eggs, I have seen them right after they lay. The white and gray chickens lay light brown eggs and they have pinkish ears and black hairless legs.

Glad to have confirmation. Under those circumstances, Buff Minorca would tend to make sense.

Interesting. Like I stated, Buff Minorca sounds about right for a white-laying, white-lobed bird.

Perhaps Blue Orpington, then, on the last chook? I guess, then, it would be possible for the "Blue Splash Marans" to actually be a Splash Orpington?
