While looking around I come across this color variation of coturnix quail and I can not find anything bout them! Not even a name! Can anybody help me out with this color variation? Possibly lead me in the direction where I might be able to purchase some eggs, chicks, or older birds?

That's a button quail roo, not a coturnix. So that would explain your difficulties ;) I'd say it's probably a red breasted button quail. The normal coloration in roos is very close to the color on the picture, but the rust colored feathers usually don't extend so far towards the head and up on the sides.

Well that makes sense!! This will be my first experience raising coturnix and I've been thinking button quail and coturnix were the same bird just different names! Thanks for clearing that up. [IMG]
