what kind of duck??

    sorry have no pics at the moment but will get some up later just waiting for camera to charge

    we seem to have an influx of wild ducks on our land lately, and theres a gorgeous set of ducks id love to know what kind they are..but as yet have had no luck finding out. i'll describe as best i can.

    males - black with a white patch down either side of the body, grey bill and and sort of quiff over the back of his head

    females - brown with grey bill, no white

    they swim around in pairs (theres about 5 pairs out there at the moment) ive never seen such a cute looking duck! they are smaller than a mallard if that helps?

    Looks like a golden eye or maybe wood duck cant really see but you can look at this site feathersite.com
