Second one is a pekin for sure....
the first one is a mallard or rouen. How large is it compared to the pekin?

I would agree with Vfem, unless you have cross breeds. The difference between Mallard and Rouen is the size. If the one is smaller than the Pelin, it is probably a Mallard.

I wasn't sure if my little duck was a mallard or a rouen. But since, at 3 weeks old, Bungie is the same size as my 4 week old khaki, I am guessing Roeun! [IMG]

Some say you can tell by the eye stripes. Rouens have more of a 2 slash look even if the bottom one is faint. Mallards have more of a dot.

Looks like your Pekin may have a crest. I love those cotton ball poofs on top of their heads.

Quote:Ugh, I somehow ended up with a partially crested Khaki Campbell! If you think the balls of fluff on top are a little silly, imagine a duck that just has a little partial clump of foof sticking out one side of his noggin!
