I was given these ducks for eggs, but the woman could not tell me the breed as they were a rescue situation. They are less than a year and healthy. Started laying eggs like crazy about a week after I got them. I would like to research more about them specifically, but several breeds have similar coloring so I am hoping someone with experience could tell me. They are small ducks about half the size of my Rhode Island Red. [IMG]

The male in the picture looks like a silver bantam, and the female at the back could possibly be a buff Orpington.

The girls are siblings. They actually were the same color when I got them about 7-8 weeks ago, but the one in front started darkening up recently. Maybe they're mutt ducks? I am pretty sure they were purchased from an actual breeder at some point because they have little leg bands and she said the wings had been cut or something like that so that they cannot fly.

Judging from the bill size, especially on the girls, I'd say some kind of call ducks. I don't have any experience with them but I know their bills are noticeably shorter than other ducks.

They completely are. I love them. The little male has my Rhode Island hen whipped and it is pretty funny.
