What kind of Marans would you call her?

    I was told Black Marans, but I've never really seen those anywhere online lol. What would you call her? The two butts in the photo belong to the lavender orps. :lol

    Looks blue to me, is the color in the pic accurate? Id say she's blue, but I really don't know much about marans. Im sure someone who does will pop in soon though.....

    I'd say blue, could be blue copper also.

    I thought the copper all had copper necks? I've only seen adult photos though...will she change more? She's definitely not as black as my australorps.

    she is def. a blue copper, looks just like mine! [​IMG] The hens only get a small bit of copper in their hackle feathers after they mature.

    That's so cool! [​IMG] I'm extra excited about her now!!!! Cool surprise. [​IMG] I'll have a nice little rainbow...though now I really think we need a brown one! Going to have to wait a year or so though for a coop upgrade!
