WHAT Kind of mite and DOES IT MATTER?

Teeny tiny, look black or brown. See them when they get on my arm or hand, and in coop cracks.

A couple chickens have pale combs, lower egg production.
Seeing nothing on birds, but FEEL them crawl on me when I pick them up.

Will they infest my home?

Used sevin today after cleaning coop - sprayed the liquid in the coop cracks.
Should I dust the birds?
Sevin or poultry dust (permethrin)? Have heard sevin won't kill some kinds of mites.

Spider mites? I did see lots of spiders when I was cleaning.

I've been reading on the web and this site - confused by all the info.

Oh, and I read somewhere that some mites will get in your respiratory system. SERIOUSLY?

And do those northern red mites come in the summer?
