He looks like a Red Pyle Old English Game Bantam.

He's not red pyle, actually looks to have some blue blood (notice the blue in the tail.) Possibly some type of sport?

The Red Pyle is Junior and the Silkie is Chap [IMG]

  8. I think he is a mix. My unofficial "official" answer is he is a mix with OEGB. Light on the colors but the stance and size is similar. Good looking little guy.

well he does look like a slightly crossed game, he's certainly not entirly pure. likely he was kept previously in a free breeding barnyard and he could be anything, but he looks closest to a red pyle OEGB and probably has mostly game blood. our local farmstand has some of these. they look gamey but lay green eggs and a lot have roscombs [IMG] all of them have been there for generations and have essentially reverted to feral living. however, they recently added some leghorns which resulted in some pretty interesting crosses [IMG] there's one little gray chick with thick bright yellow legs, some barring on his wings and a rosecomb again, he could be anything [IMG]
