What kind of rooster do I have?

    A friend gave him to us and he is a bantam. But I'm not sure of the breed. He's been a good rooster so far.

    That looks like a Blue-Light Brown Dutch Bantam or Light Brown Dutch Bantam.

    Ok. Like I said so far he's been pretty good. Very flighty. But he is very protective of the hen that came with him. I'm pretty sure she is some kind of mixed breed. She's either going through a trainwreck molt or has been picked on a lot where she was. She is however already eating out of my hand...as long as it's mealworms that is. Lol!

    Mixed breed rooster. Wrong color and body shape for a Blue Light Brown Dutch Bantam.

    I agree mixed breed rooster. Hen looks like a polish cross.
