I love Christmas! It's the special time of year when me and mom make lots of sweet treats, cook together, and decorate the tree together. To be honest, cooking and baking make life seem so simple, not like a rat race. It brings me back to a simpler time that I never got to see, but I can image from the stories mom tells me about her great grandparents old fashioned farm while we cook. Sometimes, I wish I could have cooked on a wood-fire stove! I just got done cutting our 2 batch old-fashioned potato candy. It is SO good! And it turned out just perfect. This past weekend we made coconut bonbons and chocolate covered pretzels. Tomorrow we bake the sugar cookies, and then closer to Christmas we will make our Cherries-in-the-Snow to enjoy Christmas Eve. So what kind of sweet treats do you guys make for Christmas? Is it symbolic for you, or have any special meanings/memories?
