what month do people usually have there hens hatch eggs for them? Aprill or may?
When ever they go broody, you can't make them go broody when you want them to (normal the exact opposite )

I have this mutt hen who sits on anything BUT if I put expensive eggs underneath her, she goes back to finding a cheap batch of eggs to sit on Silly girl%Pr
So you mean it would be ok any time of the year even in the middle of the winter?
I wouldnt put any eggs under them in the winter months but if they lay their own eggs and go broody they usually do fine in a draft free coop.
