What pairing to use to create turquoise eggs?

Hi.
I was wondering what breeds I could cross to get turquoise eggs. Love different egg colors, but just don't get chicken genetics at all. If there is a cross that will get the desired egg color, will it only happen on F1 crosses?

What blue egg layer do you have now? Araucana, Ameraucana or Easter Egger?


Funny, I just did a web search for blue egg color chart and it brought me back to BYC. If link doesn't bring you to page 117 just navigate there. Links to Ameraucana thread.

You see with a pure blue egg layer the color varies and will branch to turquoise. It may be easier finding a person in Araucana or previously linked Ameraucana thread with birds producing the color you want.

Then there are Olive eggers and a thread to same. These are pure blue egg layers crossed over Marans to give deep dark green eggs. Combining the egg colors is resulting color the F1 will produce and with selective breeding soon your entire flock.
