The white dot on head usually is a cockerel. If the dot is big for sure a boy. Better pictures of the top of the head would help . Sorry

All barred Rocks have the white spot on the top of the head. It's part of the markings of a black barred chick.

You can sex some of them by head spot size and other indicators. From what I can see, I'm leaning toward pullets for both of them. You'll know better when they feather in. Males have twice as much white as dark, that makes them easy to spot as a rule.

Also, I see they appear to be in an outdoor pen. I assume that you have a heat lamp for brooding, since they are are just feathering in?

They are in an outdoor coop. But there is a nesting box for them at night. It's currently 38 - 40 degrees Celsius. So the box is quite warm at night. Should this be okay??. I'm hoping they are both pullets.

At what age do the chicks get introduced to vegetables etc?? They are 5 - 6 weeks at the moment.

Cooked, anytime... raw, make sure they have grit/coarse sand with the veggies... that age is fine...
