What sex and breed please

I am very new to keeping chickens. We got some for the kids school and our chicken expert got us some lovely laying hens. We have since been gifted these two little ones but we have no idea what breed they are or their sex. Any help would be appreciated. They have feathers on their feet.

How old are they? Could you get some better pictures? If they have feathered feet my first thought is Cochin but their tails don't look like Cochin tails not do they have a recognizable feather coloring. I think they maybe mixed breeds.

Thanks I'll try to get some better pictures. I'm not great at chicken photos. I will see if I can find out their age as well.

Look like mixes to me. But full body, broadside pictures would be better.

I think mixed also but, wish we could see heads from the front.
