Awww they're so cute standing side by side like that; really, that is a good pic! :D

They look like pullets, but keep an eye on the one on the right; its comb is a little bigger, but not cockerel looking yet ;)

Are you sure on the 8 week age? Look much, much younger to me.

That's a rather vague answer, donchathink? Are you sure @caseyp21 knows what to look for in those wing feathers? [IMG]

    Hi, welcome to BYC! [IMG]

I agree, those look much younger than 8 weeks. If that is their age, they've probably been under too much heat without any place to cool off as that can delay feathering.

If 8 weeks, those short tails would say boy to me.

BR, boys get a double dose of the barring gene and the white stripes are wider appearing more white with black stripes. Those don't look double barred to me, so that would say girl.

Really, I suspect your age may be off. [IMG]

Also, only certain breeds can be sexed that way and only at a certain age. Once that has passed it's irrelevant, as far as I understand anyways...

Those are approximately 3 to 4 weeks old, and they both look like pullets for now.

I agree they look younger than 8 weeks.

the coloring says female to me, but something's pinging my roo-dar---maybe the thick legs, or....I'm just not sure. Just a feeling they may be mixed cockerels instead of pure pullets.

    Where did they come from?
