What sex is our Silkie chicken friend?

Hi! My husband and I are new to this and have a ~14 wk old Silkie chicken. We thought s/he was a female but found out recently that the place we bought her from doesn’t doesn’t actually sex their silkies. We can’t have a rooster so could use some help sexing her/him.

I think I heard her crow a few days ago, but didn’t get outside fast enough to confirm for sure and haven’t heard any crowing since.

He looks like a cockerel. What looks like streamers (the short kind), and a big comb. Of course Since Silkies are hard to sex you won’t know for sure until he lays or crows.

I'd also guess male. Silkies are rough, so if you can, hold out a bit and see if they lay.

There is no doubt about it, this gorgeous splash Silkie is definitely a cockerel.
Sorry. hope you can find a new home for him. He really is beautiful.
