I am so glad I found this page!!

The first one is approx. 14-16 weeks old, supposed to be a roo.

The second is 10 weeks old, grey legs, I just can't figure it out.

First looks like a Production Red roo

Second looks like an Easter Egger.

Yes the first one is a roo- those super shiny feathers on wings and back are his roo feathers coming in.

based on the areas where the brown feathers are coming in, would say the white one is a pullet.

I was thrown off on the Roo because, the comb and wattles are so smal, I have 12 week olds with huge combs. This one's is very small.

Yeah he's a good example of not relying only on combs and wattles for sexing. Look at the whole bird. He may mature to have a small sized comb...... or the biggest combed roo of all, can't really always tell. Some pullets even seem to grow big combs way early but they end up with small or floppy combs as adults.

Great names, by the way. ;)

First is a Rhode Island Red/Production Red cockerel. The second is an Easter Egger pullet.

Thank you, thank you, I feel so much better. I've had her since day old, and she got her name because of her cheeks and she always looked at me sideways. I'm quite attached to her now!
