Hi! So I’ve hatched out ducklings once and it was a 50% hatch rate. The shells were so hard 2 weren’t able so break through after trying for 24 hours. And the other was malpositioned. I was reading on duck stuff and someone said no duckling could get out of their hens shells because their shells were so hard and they were feeding them layer feed...? So I’m feeding my ducks layer feed and her shells are pretty hard. I am planning on putting some eggs in the incubator in the end of February and I was wondering if their was something I could feed my ducks to make sure their eggs aren’t too hard but not too soft either..?
