so, i have gotten the growing my own food for my birds thing down (mostly), but i was wondering what i could grow that would be good to raise babies on...has anyone done this? I don't like having to buy the chick starter for the chicks, and naturally the chicks would eat what mom finds around. What are ya'll's thought/idea's on this? Any experiences and info appreciated :)

i grow wheat, corn, and millet as their grain, they are pastured so the get a lot of food from that, and i also grow various veggies and duckweed for them. I supplement with mealworms and earthwroms that i raise. Oh, and i sprout the wheat and corn and turn it into fodder a lot. i can grow other things as well if you have suggestions :)

    that's great! thanks :)

I'd grow soybeans and field peas also. IMO
