What Size Leg Band For Adult Golden Comets?

Hi All,

I'll be picking up a half dozen Golden Comet chicks at my local Agway in a week and I want to band my one year old group of six Golden Comets that I currently have so that next spring I'll be able to tell which are my old birds. What size band do I need? I was thinking of getting these:

Are they the right size? Should I be concerned with getting red ones as the chickens might peck at them?

Thanks for the chart. I didn't see Golden Comets. Would they be comparable to Rhode Island Reds?

Ya, unless your birds are really big I'd probably go with an 11, the sex links are kind of hard to say since they can vary so much in size depending on the cross. Might try measuring if you can, but the usual measurements I see listed are

9 9/16"
10 5/8"
11 11/16"
12 3/4"
