What temp do my chicks need to be?

    So, once my chicks hatch, what temperature do they need to stay at?

    Their brooder (well, the part under the heat lamp/heat source) should be kept at 95 degrees for the first week. After that, decrease the temperature by five degrees each week.

    Agreed. Also simply watch their behavior. If staying far away from heat source lower the temp, and visa versa, if always huddled under it them raise the temp.
