So I know what silkies are, and Turkens, and it seems that crossing the two produces a showgirl. Is this true? How does it work??? I'm tired of reading about them without knowing what they are....and why are they called showgirls? (are the boys called showboys?)

I hope someone posts a picture because they are both the strangest and most beautiful chickens! Really, their heads look like a big poofball.

Not my cup of tea. The males are also called Showgirls. Poor boys must have a complex, being such girly-men, LOL.

Showgirls are cute! [IMG] I like the white ones the best, especially the white ones that are dyed pink. Hee hee.

They are so odd looking, they are cute to me. That head hair makes it special. [IMG]

Looks like someone crossed a angora cat with a turkey vulture. [IMG]
