What the heck is this??

    It's supposed to be a ringneck, it hatched from a ringneck egg. But I've not seen any this color??

    Looks like it may be a melanistic ringneck. I had some last year that looked identical to what you have. I will get a pic taken later today and post it to give you an idea of what it will look like.

    But it's brown?? With stripes?? I think it hatched from an egg that was supposed to be a 'snow' pheasant, but it certainly is not.

    Okay, apparently my 'snow pheasant' eggs were not. Those eggs were more white than anything. A friend of mine seems to think it's a golden chick. So looks like I have 1 golden baby [​IMG]

    I've had melanistics that were completely black (no white markings), then I've had some that were 'blackish red', also with no markings. But I'm sure it is a golden...now I just need to find some more [​IMG]

    It look like Lady Amherst with the markings and the colorings. It is identical to the ones I just hatched.

    i looks like just to of mine but all of got is a trio of green melanistic ringnecks
