I kept waking earlier and earlier in the day to discover when my Khaki Campbell, Brittney, laid her egg. 5 AM rolls around and there is still a beautiful white egg, cooled, in the nest.

Well last night I went out at 12:30 AM (midnight) to close the coop, because I had forgotten earlier in the day, and found her laying in the next boxes getting ready to pop one out. Midnight? Really?! So in order to get a fertile egg from her I will have to go out between 12-1 am? Ugg!

When does anyone elses Duck lay?

i went out at 5 am to get eggs and all of them laid one. and you dont need to collect them the minute their laid to hatch them.

With it being colder, I want to collect them before the embryo dies from freezing. Otherwise I will have to wait till Spring.
