You go snowshoeing! I literally live at the bottom of a mountain and Vermont typically has massive amounts of snow. The best way to enjoy the bounty is to go walk on it. Here are some photos from my trip up the mountain last weekend: The temp was about +6 F so a cold day but sunny for once! Going up, yes, that is the roof of my house. Just left of the center of the photo are my poultry coops. Getting further along, I am going to go west along my mountain. The mountain across the road from me Some woodland scenes This was an interesting land form I walked out on. It ends up at an abrupt cliff of about 20 feet in height with the brook below. Here is the prominence from below (on the left), I am standing in the middle of the brook. It is covered over with ice and lots of snow. My back trail My partner checking out some fox tracks The dog won't step off the trail because the snow is so deep. It is like being in quick sand. Don't trip and fall, it is real hard to get back on your feet! On the way back down to the valley, the end of the trip is ahead.
