So I have about spot next to my chicken yard that I could put a 18' by 7ish' pen and I'm wondering what I can put there. I'm really loving this chicken adventure and already looking to expand. So I'm looking for ideas as to what type of bird to put in it.

I was originally thinking of raising some meaties but not sure I can handle the smell that close to the house. Then I thought maybe some bantams. So anyone have ideas. I do have a small coop my husband built that could be used for smaller birds.

This is a picture of it when it wasn't quite finished. It was built to be a temporary coop for our younger chickens before they were put into the main flock of girls.

I am having a fit to get some bantam cochins! Can't imagine anything much cuter than that! For a standard-size breed, I LOVE my barred rocks and buff orpingtons! The sky is the limit!!!

I would paint your coop inside and out. It makes it tons easier to clean.

I have a lot of chickens and the nicest so far are my barred rocks.
