I was feeding my three hens this evening and found this little bug running around their treat bowl. Looks like a third or forth stage bed bug....?

    What do you guys think?

Top is a bed bug, bottom is the bug I caught and killed....

Yea pretty dang close. I went out and looked in the coop and the chickenew were all asleep and I didn't see any other bugs walking around or on the birds.

I'Lloyd keep my eye out and treat the coop with some herbs that I've read repell mites and bed bugs

The two do look similar... though bed bugs don't typically run around during the day and their main source of food/fluid is blood...kinda looks like some kind of spider too, because of the long legs.. hard to tell! lol

Yea that's what I was thinking that it was weird to see it out on a food dish in daylight. Haven't found any others and the chickens aren't acting or look like they're being bothered by pest.

Looks similar, but I don't think it's the same.
Legs aren't the same and either is the abdomen.
    There are sooooo many insects.......
