    I sold my first dozen eggs today! [​IMG] Now, lets see only about another 1500.00 and I'll break even [​IMG] No really, I'm so excited tol sell my first dozen eggs from my awesome White Leghorns!!! Go girls:)

    Congratulations! So far I've sold 4 dozen! I don't think I've been that excited over a few dollars since I was 5 years old! LOL I know what you mean about the $1500. It gives new meaning to the idea that sometimes you have to spend $$ to make $$, doesn't it? [​IMG]

    I have a special jar just for "chicken money"
    whenever i sell eggs i put it inthis jar
    when its time to buy something for my chickens thats where i take the funds from
    its not much but hey

    My hens contribute to a chicken jar too. So far they are paying for their and their roosters food and food for the 20 kornish kings we're growing out for the freezer. Coops were built from recycled pallets and shipping crates. Only had to buy some wire. So not so much behind the game there. Soon they will have that worked off too from the eggs they give us to eat.
