one word......

greed.

The world if full of them... but they get theres in the end... I found that out very recently.

Is there any way to find out who does this sort of thing without a possible slander/libel suit? I think it's terrible that for the almighty dollar, people and animals have to suffer. I hate the idea of someone willingly putting the very lives of others at risk.
How does the innocent consumer protect himself?

Is there any proof that can be presented to the authorities that there was disease in the flock that could be spread? If so call animal control, or your game warden and let them know what is happening.

I agree you should call the dept. of agriculture in your state and report them.

There are people on BYC who have one week been complaining that they have sick and dying birds, but 2 weeks later they are on here selling birds. I don't understand how they can do that with a clear conscience.

this is one reason we don't buy started and adult birds.....you never know.
