What you get when your temps go to 106.7

a surprise knobby-headed rough naveled peeping machine two days early!

This one hatched out at 9:30 pm last night, Day 19:

The rest of the eggs are either clear-from shipping disaster or looking very dead (all my SSH

) My temps went to 106.7 that one day for unknown amount of hours, and also some 104 degrees.

I am sorry to hear about the rest of the eggs. But on a positve note, the little one that did hatch is adorable

1) It must be a girl

2) I already have a silkie named Ashley...so, it will be called "Mary Kate", lol

3) It must be a girl (a boy will feel identity issues with a name of 'Mary Kate'- plus I cant hide a roo)

She died. For no apparent reason. She seemed to be doing fine, but when she ended up on her back, she was unable to flip over.

I am sure that because she was born early, and she had a rough navel- bacteria or something must have taken over. However, she she seemed fine.

What a crappy way to end my last hatch of the year.
