Quote:If only you knew!!! That pond isent even finished. Adding in a water fall to hide that filter and maybe another spitter like the one there. Maybe another pond or a bigger pond will be added eventually.

    Got to love ducks [IMG]

Quote:No eggs from blue yet. The black one is usually every other day. Sometimes we will get lucky and she will go 2-3 days in a row. Is that normal for her? I think she is trying to go broody. She makes a nest every day in the hay to lay her egg and gets mad when we take them.

She may be. She usually laid one a day here but I think with the heat they may slow down. My chickens are every other day now. The black did go broody before but had built her nest along the fence line and it was unprotected so I tried moving it. She was not happy about that. Up to you if you want to see about ducklings, you can leave them and see.

Maybe someone here can answer how long after ducklings are removed from mom does it take for her to start laying again.

Im not worried about blue laying. She will lay when she wants to i guess. If it still like another month then i might post a topic and I wont let her go broody right now. I dont have the space to keep them and after the trouble you are having finding homes for yours i would be worried about the same with mine. They are all doing very well though. Adding the other 2 runners that you met tonight.
