Hello!
I'm not really sure what's going on with my young rooster, Atticus.
About a week ago his tail flopped to the side. I asked about it and someone said it could be wry tail. Today, he was walking around like this (see pictures). We've seen him walk this way before but this morning it has been more prominent.
Now, granted it's hot here. It's 9:30 in the morning 85° but feels like 97°. So my first thought was he's trying to cool himself off. But even some of my older, heavier, more feathered chickens aren't seeming to "struggle" like he is.
We've brought him inside in a crate to monitor him and right now everything, besides his tail, is normal. He is my favorite out of all our 70 some chickens. So, I am concerned about him. And bringing a chicken inside, though it has been done before by us, is not something we usually do.
