I have a guinea pig i bought about 6 months ago. I have been using pine chip bedding for her but i was wondering if their was anything better to use? I was wondering if carfresh would be better? Thanks for any info.

That's what I was worried about. I just thought it would be more comfortable for her to be on. Thank you so mug for your replies.

I know this is a little late, but thought I'd chime in anyway. I am in the process of switching my daughters' guinea pigs from pine to carefresh. Yes it is more expensive but the odor control is so much better in their small bedroom. Just thought I'd share.

pine shavings are not very good for them I would recommend yesterdays news http://www.yesterdaysnews.com/ on the half of the cage where they are fed. Where they are fed is where they go to the bathroom. Yesterdays news is very absorbent and keeps smell away for twice as long.
Care fresh is softer so you should put that where they sleep http://carefresh.com/ to make them more comfortable!
Remember that guinea pigs are social animals so it is better to have 2! and they need to be entertained with toys.
http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-Crinkle … amp;sr=8-1 they LOVE THIS!! it makes noises when they run through it!
THey will often make lots of noises chewing on the cage, becuz their teeth need to be filed. http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-Perfect … upplies_24 this is a great alternative!
And one last thing... NEVER put them in a hamster ball! http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-Run-About-Exercise-13-Inch/dp/B0002DJCV8 it is extremely bad for their back!!
