What's the best kind?

I need to do some research on chicken breeds and am failing so I want to know your opinions.
What are the best chickens for egg laying? I live in a rural area near a small town and plan on selling the eggs to neighbors and friends.
They need to be able to live in the cooler Canadian temp. and ones I can breed if needed.
Whats the best kind for me?
Where can I get good feed?
Where can I get chickens from?(that has been bugging me most).
I probably sound stupid and demanding

What is a TSC?
