    This is a 5 month JG cockerel. Since he is hatchery stock he is no where as impressive as a professionally bred bird but you get the idea of the large size.

    The females weigh 10 lbs. the males weigh 13. lol

    My buff brahma hen is HUGE. She far outsizes my former big girls, 2 wyandottes and an Austrolorpe. She is taller than them by at least 4 inches. Probably weighs 10 poounds or more...and she's just a 5 month old pullet that JUST started laying.

    Here is a picture of my Blue Jersey Giant Rooster His name is Colbalt he stands 30 inches tall and weighs 17 pounds

I have 19 hens, and only 5 of them are anywhere close to his size....but he's certainly making a go of it! I saw him with one of my EE girls and he covered her just fine....for about 45 seconds!
